If you’re getting a new Denver office space, you probably want to make sure that it doesn’t have the same disadvantages as your old office space. Many times, the disadvantages you’re thinking of don’t have much to do with the space itself but how it’s been decorated. If you make sure that you set up your space the right way, you can look forward to working there and having happy, satisfied employees. Here are a few tips:
- Windows. It’s always important to have a lot of natural light which will keep your employees happy and encourage them to be productive. Plus, this also creates a good impression on prospective clients. So if you have an office with a nice view, it’s not a bad idea to get your windows extended as much as possible without hurting the construction. This way, when you move into your new Denver office space, you’ll always start the day feeling active and energetic.
- Cubicles. Generally, when people think of cubicles, they imagine a really small space into which they will be cramped. Plus, cubicles often come in neutral colors like grey and beige which are quite uninspiring. However, cubicles don’t have to be like this. They can be spacious and a joy to work in. Nowadays, many cubicles aren’t completely walled up from all four sides. You can have two adjoining cubicles which don’t have a dividing wall. Or you can have cubicles with only three sides and an aisle on the fourth side. Plus, you can get cubicles with nice wooden tables and ergonomic chairs. So your employees will enjoy coming to work and having the privacy of a cubicle without the claustrophobic feeling that often goes with it.
- Flooring. Many offices are done up with boring grey or beige carpets. Although these are generally a safe choice, you don’t have to go with safe. Hardwood floors might be a little more difficult to maintain because they get scratched but they do present a much more pleasing appearance, to your employees as well as your clients. If hardwood floors are not to your liking, you can even go with something more upscale like marble. White marble floors dotted with area rugs can give a really luxurious feel to your office.
